Tom's 30th B-day party

Ok, so this happened early in 2007 (Tom's b-day is March 2nd), but it was P.B. (Pre-Blog) so here are some snapshots of the surprise party we threw for him. It was supposed to be a medieval type theme, thus the torches on the walls and 'tapestries.'

Clint and Tom looking at some of the quizzes and Shakespearean insults on the table.

Friends from church.

People working on some of the game sheets. For every game you win, you get a gold coin from the table (honor system). The top three coin-getters got prizes. They were all under the age of 12.

Tom's castle cake made by our friend Leigh Harvey. I'm not quite sure how she did it, but it involved rice krispy treats and a lot of gray frosting (possibly mixed with spackle).

This was our ping pong joust. I tried for a real joust, but the horses couldn't fit in the basement door. (har, har)

Quite a blaze going, isn't there?
